Oscarg...I've used belray products for many many years mostly in motocross racing applications. I tried belray gearsaver 85/140 in my 07 Ultra and honestly couldn't tell any difference from what was in there from the factory.I only left it in there for a couple weeks. I put in and have in there now the Redline Heavy and could tell more of a difference with the noise. That Redline heavy is like molasses though, but seemed to make a little difference. I also put the Redline MTL in the primary while I was at it. Like I said, I love Belray products, but I could tell a little more if a difference with the Redline. Its about twice as heavy weight though. But I have a very very noisey one, so if yours is normal, the Belray would and should be great for you.

If not mistaken, Belray was one of the first synthetic blends on the market. We (NYPD)usedBelray in the last ('85)FLHP shovelheads and in our 1987 FLHTP EVO trannys. For some reason we had trouble with the trannys in those 2 years. Worked well on the 1985's and we used it in the '87s, which had the new motors and old trannys.

I've put Belray in my last 3 Harley's at the 1000 mile check up. Smooth shifting, no clunk on shift, no problems.

I use it in my 06 recomended by Indy and it did make a difference. But I went back to Amsoil 75W140 I could tell a slight improvement so thats what is in it now. After they did the 1000 mile service on my sons 07 Glide he changed out the trans oil to Amsoil 75W110(has notbeen out long) and he said it was a big improvement.Changed engine oil and primary to Amsoil too.A good oil will quieten down that trans some. Now why doesn't HD put a better oil in there than HD oil?
