Default road king windsplitter windshield with mail slot

I have been looking at the road king wind splitter shield with the mail slot. This is the one that is on the CVOs.
Just wondering if anyone has given them a try and what the good and bad points are on these.
I'm 5'9" and I'm wondering about the way the wind flows over with and without the vent open.
thanks

I read a lot of topics here on the forums when researching windshields for my RKC. Most who tried the wind splitter were not impressed. Plenty of good info if searched. I went with the Clearview and like it.

I just posted in the Wanted section. I am looking for one of these new shields. I tried fitting it at my dealer on my 2007 RK and it looked and fits great. It also performs great with the wind for me (I test rode the 2014 RK). I took a few pics if you'd like to see.

I have a 13 cvo road king . I'm 6'3 and it was worthless. The vent rattled also. Plus I didn't like the way it looked, it messed up the classic road king look. Sold mine and bought a regular windshield frame and put a klock works billboard on it. Happy as can be.

I'm a couple inches shorter and I have the Clearview shield with the recurve and mail slot in the stock height. I get no buffeting. Very clear and no distortions.

I'm 6 foot and it sucks if you wear a helmet. Set it and its OK. Shift your position and start over.

borrowed a demo wind splitter from the dealer for a day. Dialed in the right vent position and cruised a while.
At first I really didnt like it much lots of wobble and wind but once I got on the back roads things improved pretty quick.
I tried sitting higher in the seat and if I was much over 6 ft I would get a lot of wind but being 5'9" not bad at all.
Hope this might help someone
