Default 130/80-17 vs 140/80-17

My Road King currently has a stock 130/80-17 front tire. It has the silly looking narrow white wall tires. When these tires wear out, I want to go Wide White Walls, front and back. The back is a non issue. Plenty of 180-16s on ebay (and stock on the classic), but the 17 front is not the case, unless I want a Shinko or other cheapy tire.

I can get a 140 Dunlop 404 shipped for just over $155 total, but its a 140 series tire. Will a 140 front tire fit on my bike without rubbing the fender??? Its a mostly stock 2013 Anniversary Road King.

Please advise.

I think a wide white wall will look silly on a 17" tire.... but you can see for your self how much room there is in there - that same fender has been used since forever...

So that's a yes? The 140 will fit right on? And honestly no offense, but the narrow white walls look like they came right off a 1979 Chevy Caprice. :-)

Dirtdauber, thanks. Saw that one, but hoping to stay with a Dunlop, Avon or Metzler if possible.
Frankly, I have run many a Shinko as well, and they work fine, I just wanted a real high miler this tome around.

Wow, CHL, that bike looks awesome. Exactly what I am after. You even have the same mags from what I see in your sig pic. No need to shot a front pic. If you guys say its a direct bolt on, that's all I need to hear.
