Was kinda hoping I could buy a RG this year, however, it isn't looking that way at all. Oh well...

That excel sheet is awesome, but what year RG parts would be compatible to my '06 FLHT?

Thanks, glad to see my sheet is still making the rounds!

As for parts on your 06 FLHT, all the parts in the sheet will work with the exception of the interconnect harness. You can use any of the OEM parts finders to locate the correct number for the earlier year interconnect harness.

Granite State Harley and Ronnie's Harley have excellent OEM parts finders.

Excellent. What's the deal with the crash bar? I'd like to keep my lowers if possible

The crash bar is a non-issue. If you have vented lowers, make sure you go with the 10+ main fairing bracket and fairing supports that mount to the crash bar.

Those are the parts I have in the linked spreadsheet.

If you use ≤09 parts, your vented lowers will not fit/clear the fairing.

Whichever you go with, they must match - both the main and the supports need to be either 10+ or ≤09. You can't mix/match.

Redbeard719, I have the same exact bike as you and I'm converting my bike as well. I have a question for you, on the lower right hole on the neck where the RG main support bracket will be installed, there is a "rivnut" that is very difficult to get out, how did you get it out? Did you drill it out? I'm scared to damage my frame if I drill it out. Is there a better way?

I recall this stinking wellnut that you are talking about. It's jammed into one of the holes that is needed to mount the main fairing bracket to the frame.

I drilled it out. I made sure my drill bit was small enough to only drill the wellnut, and not the frame. You shouldn't damage anything that way - I know it was pretty much a non-issue that I was overly concerned with at first too. The frame as I recall is hollow there anyway. Not sure you could do much damage!
