I've had poor luck polishing out scratches on bike windshields. Usually end up making a mess.

I have had decent luck minimizing the scratches by using Pledge, of all things. Nothing cool about the stuff, but it works well. A little soft wax that fills in the tiny scratches, making them pretty invisible.

I've used Meguair's PlastiX polish and Novus polish on turntable covers with excellent results. I've also used it on windshields with the same results. It's good for light scratches and marks, and it helps on the really bad stuff.

try using windex and newspaper...yes newspaper you get on sundays. Just spray windex and use the news paper like you would use a towel..try this a few times and it will def clear it up...if its scratched bad then your pretty much outta luck..all a paste will do is fill in the scratch..wont make it see threw again..good luck...this news paper trick is amazing on any window or plastic windshield..clears it up so nice

Sooner or later your're going to belly up to the bar and get a new one.
I take real good care of mine to make it last.
Also, I treat mine with "Bug Slide." It's pricey but works.

I use Novus. If I remember correctly they have 3 stages. I use 2 .. 1 a cleaner and 2 fine scratch remover. 3 would be for heavy scratches. I Still have the original shield and use it 90 % of the time.

edit: I should add ...Novus on occasion otherwise a basic cleaning (often) with peroxide/water spray for bugs, and then hot soapy water with a micro fiber cloth.
I dry it with a blower.

The Harley windshields have a plastic coating on both sides, you can polish it but take the chance of buffing through. I have been trying to figure out a way to strip the layer and put on a new one but have not had any luck so far.
