Saw the new 15 CVO SG today and noticed 2 things right away that make no sense.

1) The CVO has a different ignition switch with a cover that flips open which presses against the inner fairing causing it to flex regardless of what position the **** is in. It doesnt just touch it flexes the panel. They added some clear protective tape to the fairing as an after thought.

2) They added a headset port to the panel on the left of the radio but it's so low the plug hits the center tank console when you turn left. If it was 1" higher it would clear and there's plenty of room to move it up.

The sales guy said they are all scratching their heads on these and have had customers come back complaining about both.

I'm surprised by the carelessness of HD making such stupid mistakes like this.

Maybe somebody will sue them. Harley (poor design) Davidson. If they do they will have to stand in line because there are already a couple ahead of them at the court house. I think it is good when people sue the MOCO as it keeps them on their toes. Beside that, it is the only way they pay any attention.

 

Its a Harley. What do you expect?

Is the ignition switch with all CVO models or just the street glide?

I agree..... I didnt have my phone on me or else I would have taken pictures. I was waiting for a "This Thread Is Worthless Without Pics" response.

I was hoping a member would post pics of theirs.

And in response to a previous post I dont know if all 15 CVO's have this ignition as I've only seen the SG in person.
