Similar thing happened to my red Prius 2 years ago. White paint parking lot stripes overspray every where. They denied it. I filed with my insurance carrier and let them fight it out. Final cost was $1,900! Lots of labor involved with a clay bar and some buffing. They did a nice job and didn't have to replace any parts. The clay bars available to body shops is not the over the auto parts counter variety.

Update: The local dealership's bodyshop said they can do it and not hurt the paint. so I'm waiting for them to provide the insurance company and estimate then will take it in.

No big deal as it's crappy weather here in oHIo so no riding...

Update:

Local dealer body shop did an ok job. The were able to "save" the lower fairings, and rear fenders. The insurance adjuster just left and they will be replacing the following:

Front Fender (body shop actually scratched the fender)
Front Blinker Lenses
Driving lamp chrome rings
Headlight chrome trip ring
Trim piece (black) - recessed around the headlight
Plastic chrome piece across the top of the forks
Upper fairing
Upper fairing vent
Lower fairing vent
Windshield
Ohio PGR Windshield Cling decal

The upper fairing has a little paint but in the sun shine you can see too many imperfections from the body shop.

Guess I'll be waiting until the parts are ordered and arrive.....

Looks like things might work out. If I were you I would try to claim the take off parts.

Believe it our not, this is still on-going. Parts were all received and took the bike in Saturday (glad the temp was almost 50 here).

Dealer called and said Harley sent them the wrong color faring (I have the "mysterious sunglow red" and they sent the two-tone one). Hopefully the new one will be here within a week.

No biggy as there's not much riding here this time of the year.

Stay tuned for the next (somewhat) exciting episode.
