Default Grand Daughter Goes for a Little Ride on the TG

This last week Lydia, our grand daughter has been here visiting. Yesterda was drizzling a bit, but that did not stop her from wanting to take a little ride. Last time she rode, a couple of years ago, she was on grandma's lap in the back.

Today she was "big enough" that she rode "by herself".

Just down to the end of the cul-de-sac and back.

I don't think I would have considered this thing if it wasn't for having a 5 year grandson that loves riding - only I won't take him out around cars on a two wheeler (can't reach the pegs yet, either). Even if I never use it for anything else, this old Russian junker is worth it. If only it had electric start, that "kick away from the bike" kickstarter sucks. This is the first ride together; once we got moving and I told him he didn't have to hang on, he sat back and enjoyed the ride.

I don't want to hog your thread, but if you want to see more kid and bike pics, have an album here:

Good stuff. Great memories. I took my 9 yr old granddaughter through Ga, NC, SC, Tenn this past summer. 2500 miles-10 days. This summer going up the east coast. Next year cross country, God willing.

Great stories my 5 year old grandson asked the other day when I was done riding shiney (triglide) if I would give her to him? I told him that was a done deal I guess I need to visit my legal advisor and add to the will. ride safely fearless

Wow, great memories a lot of you are building.

She's gone back home to Missoula now, but we'll be riding out to see her this summer.
