HD Extended Reach bars vs Klock Werks Ergo Backs vs LA Choppers 10" Apes vs ?
I know that there are umpteen threads about replacement bars for the Tri Glide and touring bikes, but I've bounced from thread to thread on what would be best for me, and my head hurts. Hopefully this will help some others facing a similar situation.
It looks like these three are the best options for replacing handlebars that move the grips back a bit for those of us that need a more upright riding position. In addition, from all I've read, I think that they can all three be installed without having to extend any wires, cables or tubing.
So, who's got 'em, and what do you think? Other options?
Oh, and I think we need to specify if your experience is for pre-2014 or not, that looks like it makes a big difference in who can use the info. Or we'll have to read your tag line.
Thanks folks. I'm hoping to get all my winter mods started here in the next few weeks, and that's the biggest one I don't have fully scoped out yet.

I have a 2014 Tri Glide. I had the dealer install the HD reduced reach bars after about the first 2 months. They were better then stock, but I still wanted something a little higher & a little more back. I just installed Khrome Werks 2+2 narrow sweepers a couple weeks ago. They feel better just sitting on it, but to cold out to try. These bars are about 2" higher & 2'' back more then the HD reduced reach bars. On the first install that the dealer did they added the wire extension kit, So when I switched bars I had no troubles with anything. The clutch & brake hose are stock & fit just fine.

I have a 2013 and went with the LA Chopper twin peaks 10" These are bars for a tall person. I am 6' 1" and in full turn at full arm extension. Nice for me, I like the relief on my shoulders, and perfect for long highway runs, and that is 95% of my riding style. No extensions required.

LA 10" bars are 34" tip to tip and the stock bars are 32" apart. Should be about the same turn radius and reach. Wild One 578s 10" are 36.5". Or am I missing something here? Can you tilt the LA 10" bars back any?

Hard Ride, Yes the LA Choppers can be tilted back some. You have to check clearance to the tank. I have the tank lift kit 1 1/2 and tilted back as far are I can without touching the tank. They sit higher of coarse so your reach may be more even though you pull them back. I personally like that I have more arm extension, it helps relax my shoulders and neck better than the stock bars.
