Default Rear flat, repair or replace

On any other bike is another tire., on a triglide, rear only, being these are like car tires, can be plugged and hot patched, what would you do?

Interesting question ... since it's basically a car tire .. I'd say it would be okay to repair ... but I'm guessing here

Another interesting question would be, if the answer to the first is to replace, should you replace them in pairs due to wear?

Replaced the front tire on my Tri-Glide when I picked up a screw in Utah. Patched a rear tire when I ran over a nail in Montana. In both cases I used a plug to get me to a dealer (for the front) and a tire store to fix the rear.

Do not think the recommendations for repair you see at the tire sites has anything to do with tire but how many are on a motorcycle and what could happen if repair fails. I would go to their site and do what they say. It's a safety issue. By the time a dealer gets thru with a repair, it is probably going to cost 2/3 of a new tire if a Harley dealer did it. (least around here it would)

I would have no problem repairing a rear tire on a Triglide.
