I used a PVC coupler glued to a PVC cap. Just a touch of silicone on the stock rubber and it won't come off. Won't leave black marks on your boots !! You can use more than 1 coupler if you want to extend it further. I've done this on all my bikes with floorboards. Sorry about the focus, camera phone sucks

Since we sell so many Rider Floorboard Extension kits,we are now looking at also producing a line of 3"or longer pegs as a companion component.

I took off the peg, screwed it into a 1" stainless coupler nut from Lowes, and ran an all-thread bolt in the other end until they bottomed out against each other. Cut the head of the bold off with about 5/8" sticking out of the nut, screw that onto the shifter arm. Blue Loctite on everything. Worked great, a cheap 1" extension to the front shifter peg. Didn't need to extend the rear; in fact, I'm thinking of shortening it, my feet point out a lot.

Here's a pic of the extended pedal, 1.25" wider than stock. Kuryakin Brake Pedal Pad Extension (P/N 1078)

Added: I could have left the head on the bolt, on the backside of the shifter arm, I suppose. Plus those are fine threads; Lowes had the coupler, but I had to order a bag of bolts online somewhere. Anybody want a bag of 24 5/16" by 1" fine thread stainless bolts, minus one?

Not if you need to go out sideways. Which, one would want to when using floorboard spacers.
