May want to check the federal regulations sadly it is in there, even if local and state did not include it the Federal Transportation and safety board did. It takes a little digging but even I found it. So it becomes a point of who wants the pinch ya kno.... l believe I like the reflectivity but would like have a little more style does that make sense? ride safely Fred

Still not going to chance it. They don't bother me anyway. I sure as hell can't see them when I'm riding.

That is what I was thinking about. They are required by the federal gov't just like on cars and commercial vehicles.

[QUOTE=MikeyTX;15603750]Y'all don't have an annual inspection like we do in TX. They can actually flunk the bike here for not having them.

There's away around the inspection problem. Just use reflector tape when taking it to get inspected.

I was asked about a rear reflector once at inspection time, so I added a little one on the top of my license plate bracket.
Don't have any side reflectors. Those aren't required, in TX.

I have added LED brake/turn lights as well as the Kuryakyn LED "vertical" lights on the rear of my Tri-Glide along with two strobes in order to make myself highly visible, especially at night.

I also installed the fender trim rails but I have held back on installing the LED's in the rails until I can find a set of flush mount run/turn lights that I can se to replace the oval shaped side reflectors.

The Kuryakyn chrome fender moldings dresses up the side profile of the trike but the reflectors (to me) still look like an after thought.
