Default 2017 exhaust

Ok, I'm a little confused, ok maybe a lot 😁
On the 2017 TG, is the cat still where it's always been, under the passenger floorboard?
Has anyone decatted a 2017 exhaust?

Also, mufflers for 17 only or will older ones fit?

Thanks

Still same area just a different design. No I have not decated mine yet. I dont want to mess with that yet. Older pipes work fine. The slipons did not change (diameter) like the other M8s.

Thanks, when I was under the TG putting on the chrome rear bumper I didn't see any difference from my other TG's
So the mufflers I had on my 16 will fit the new 17?
That's good to know.

Two dealerships around here don't even know. They seem to think adapters are required. I picked up a pair of used Rush slip ons yesterday and the assistant service manager wants me to let him know if they work or not.

I got the same response from the dealer when I picked up my 17. I almost sold real cheap a set of SE Street Cannons and CVO pipes I had because of that. However when I checked the new catalog, the new style SE SC pipes for the M8s would not fit the 17 TG. With that new information on hand I decided to check underneath and see what was the deal. That's when I noticed that the old style pipes is the way to go.

I believe that the reason they went the old style slipons is because the new wider style will not fit well and would hit. They use a reducer after the cat so that it will work.

The Rush slip ons bolted right on my '17. No adapters needed.
