Tri-Glide Issues

XM radio, CB Radio, navigation, PTT switches, cruise control. I remember getting used to thumb screw cc, lol. Never had or needed them back in the day. Still getting used to having a radio and nav. I enjoy having them, it's great. Came with the Trike so I'm going to use them. I certainly don't see the need to add XM, even on a cage. CB, yes I can understand for some but for me...nah, don't need it. Guess I'm just old school, paper maps, the sound of the motor thru the exhaust, no helmets, no hurry. Yes that's the way I like it. This new Trike is awesome! Get you one!

Yes they are rough on front tires, but 7,000 miles for tires and bearing, that shouldn't happen. My dad averages 15,000 - 18,000 miles on a front tire. The wheel bearings on his 09 died and early deal because HD had a bearing issue. The replacement bearings have about 40,000 miles on them now. The 2010 Triglide I used to have had the original front tire and bearings on it when I got rid of it at 21,000 miles.
Front tire life depends on where you ride. A lot of around town turning corners and riding 2 lane winding roads, wears them out pretty quick. Running freeways, they last quite a long time. On my 2010, it had about 80% highway miles on it.

I got 16,000. on my first front tire, swapped out for a new OEM tire and this one lasted 20,000. I think the increase was a combination of being overly cautious on replacement of the 1st one, and being a bit more experienced rider for the life of the 2nd one. I went with a AVON cobra trike tire this time! anxious to see how it performs.

mine went out at the 9k mark along with voltage regulator or that's what my dealer told me. I may be somewhat to blame as we were running an escort for the USMA marathon team carrying the game football to the army navy game . first gear for 20 some miles wasn't the best of things to do. sadly I had to drop from another escort when the dash lite up when we were escorting a full bird who just got back from the sand box.

OR you just go get a rear tire and install it reverse rotation and you'll get tons of miles out of it.

Front engine stabilizer mounting bolts loose or broken
I have a question about this (velvet link stabilizer) Has anyone used one for any period of time after having broken bolt problems? Right now mine is in the shop again getting the broken bolt out for the third time in the last 8,000 miles. They have to remove the head again to get at the bolt hole. I'm really hoping that there is a cure for this problem. I'm kinda wondering if there is something worn out in the rear engine/trike mounting system. I have a 2009 Triglide with 53,000 miles.
Thanks for any input.
