I saw a "true" Triglide once in a dealership. All of the other HD Trikes I've ever seen have been kits. Most of them Roadsmith.

Default True Tri

The Harley Trikes since 09 are true Harley Trikes if sold at the Harley dealerships. For the 09 and the 10 models were collaborations with Lehman, 11's on from what I hear are all built in Milwaukee now. The only real difference is HD took total control of the fabrication but the 09 through 13 Tri Glides and the early Street Glides are true HD Tri Glides, with a 2 year warranty and manufactured by HD.

Right, so many 09-13 Tri-Glides have they built?

Looks like Coupe55 answered for 2009. You can probably assume as many or more in the following years. I googled it which led me back to this site. Pretty cool.

went to dealer Saturday to find us a 2013 midnight pearl/brilliant silver. got a call this morning that there wasn't any available throughout his networking dealers. then I asked if we could perhaps do a factory order......bombshell...he was informed this morning by HD that his current wishlist was put on hold and production has been halted on all 2013 Tri Glides for indefinite period of time. Something to do with distribution or market has been saturated. I didn't understand so I won't try to explain it. Maybe those here can shed educated and informed input. It's above my pay grade. All I know is, wife gave permission and okay to go for it, now this! Very unhappy....

Harley is the best in the world at keeping the price of it's product from lowering or resist the temptation to sell a bike/trike cheaper to increase production. Other than some of the CVO bike's the Tri Glide is a pricy item. The early years production was around 3000 units, I don't have the production numbers for 2012. In a recession when high end units sales are slowing HD will not lower the price or offer incentives, they slow production to keep the demand up and the price high or at least not lower the price to increase sales. This may not be what is happening in this case but has been SOP for years as far as HD delivering units to the dealers.

My brother is in the market for a new Tri-Glide right now. When we went up to order a new 2013 for him in 110th Ann. colors we were told that all orders right now are on hold.

Seems to be a problem with Harley getting the bodies from the supplier. Something to do with a manufacturing issue.....
