Default Not getting any yonger, time for a Bucket list

I just turned 68, and I got tired of fishing and coming home to do all of the maintenance/cleaning on my boats. So I always wanted a trike since I was about 19 or so. My cousin had an old service car in about 1970 or so. He let me ride it around the block and it stuck with me. I had a 63 triumph boneville but felt I was getting a little too crazy on it. So at 67, 40 something years later, I new I had to spend more of my retirement money on something I liked. I already had a heart attack, seizure or stroke, Drs. cant say, so I had to start my bucket list. I wanted a 1934 ford but nothing I wanted to spend that much money on, around $60K, so I will get that after I sell my boats. 2014 Trike has plenty of power. 2 up a little slow on the take off. Has plenty of features, more then I can use. Still have not used gps or cruise control yet. Ride safe, just a short story.

Default Yeas Yea

When I'm out on the trike people talk to me about it all the time. They ask how I like it and that they are thinking about it because of these health problems...ect. Well I tell them I have nothing wrong health wise and I am just 58 years old. I just like it for comfort, safety and just plain fun to ride! Don't wait till the family or Doctor tells you. You will enjoy it now if you are thinking of leaving two wheels.

I got my first motorcycle at the age of 56. I am now 71 and just got my first trike a week ago. A 2011 tri glide and I am looking forward to many more years in the wind.

Default Love the Look

I'm 67 and have always liked the looks of a Tri so decided to bite the bullet and traded in my 2012 electraglide on a 2014 Tri. Not to happy with the power it's kind of a turd but I think I may be to used to the 2 wheeler power and it goes the speed limit so I can live with that till the warranty is up then do something about the power.

Was always a tense feeling coming from the back seat so in 12 I was ready but was told I was not old enough. After two cervical surgeries and boot slip in the sand and a dropped bike if I was on the bike the back seat was empty so when I wanted to just go look we bought. Every milevel WE put on I gets better have right at 1k and cannot wait till spring. Only complaint is the cb is not stock

I'm 74 but I feel like I'm 19 when I'm on a bike. That may be why I do 30K a year and ride all through the winter.

Yes, they are not as "peppy" as a 2wheeler, but there's a lot more to move down the road, plus the big old fenders sticking out there doesn't help.
Mufflers, air cleaner, good exhaust pipe ( I like FullSac) and a good tune and she'll do a lot better...
