Exclamation Maximum tire pressure?

I have a 2013 road king, normal cold pressure 36 front 40 rear. what is the maximum pressure i should allow? I ask this because I recently took a long trip with extreme changes in altitude and temperature. I could easily exceed 50 PSI in the rear while riding in the mountains in warm weather when it was cool and 1000 ft when i started for the day, normal warm tire increase on the rear tire is at least 5 PSI without air temperature or altitude change. ( I have a garmin TPS monitor and its been verified accurate).

Always check the TP when cold, as you're doing.
Rising TP is normal when riding.

You are suffering from information overload! As gusotto suggests check pressures when cold and ride. Your TPS is most use to you if and when it warns of a drop in pressure.
