I'm riding a 2009 FXSTC and it seems I'm getting a new rear tire about every 7k miles. Currently using the Commander II. I ride daily to work and occasionally a group ride / twistys run. What other recommendations do you guys have? Pic is from jp cycles

 

I'm on my 2 nd set of commamder's I changed it at 15,000 on my Ultra. I do stay on top of my tire pressure and not hammering down on takeoff

 

I'm actually just having Michelin Commander 2's installed as we speak. I saw a thread where a guy said he got 18-20K out of them. The best I've done with Dunlop or Avons is maybe 10-12K and that was pushing it. I'm not hard on my tires either. I check the tire pressure regularly and I NEVER light up my rear tire. I don't get that mentality. Tires are expensive. Time will tell.
