Thumbs up Pirelli Night Dragons review

In the past, I've run Dunlops, Metzelers, Avons, and Bridgestones, but I have to say beyond any shadow of a doubt, the Pirelli Night Dragons I put on my Dyna Low Rider this season are overwhelmingly the most responsive tire I've ever had the pleasure to point down the road. This beast now feels like a nimble lightweight sport bike.

They are just the right amount of sticky and allow me to turn so easily that I thought my neck bearings were loose. Oddly, I think the price of this great performance was a couple of miles per gallon, but I'm so freakin' tickled with the handling that I could give a s#!t less.

Naturally, the jury is out on the longevity of this new rubber, but for now, I can state for the record that these Pirellis are the best motorcycle tires I've ever used on any bike of any brand.

Just put them on mine have about 20 miles on them as of now. It was nice to hit a tar snake and not have the bars move all over the place.

Looked at the Com II and the Metz880's. undecided for several days . came in and said go ahead with the Night Dragons. Have a email into Pirelli about the air pressure...not heard back from them. Do you remember the air pressure you used?

I think max is 42 rear and 40 front but that tire came off months ago. 2600 miles on the Com II now.

I'm running 38 lbs. front, & 40 rear. Always single riding. Seems about right on my Low Rider. Like Metzelers, these tires like a little extra pressure. I let the front drop by 4 lbs. once and it was quit noticeable. It was an illusion, but it kinda felt like the *** end was trying to slide out from under me. Shame on me for not regularly checking the pressure!

Went with the 40/42 lbs. went on about a twenty mile ride. They just felt like a hard ride. Let some air out the next morning to 38/40. Rode the bike to work today...Wow what a better ride. It was nice first time since I got the bike the tar snakes didn't shake the bars. Bike sticks in the curves a whole lot better.

I have the Night Dragons on my 07 Street Bob.
Here is the response I got from Pirelli about tire pressure:

We thank you for your recent inquiry. The minimum and maximim PSI for the requested tires are:
Night Dragon 180/60 B 17 M/C 81H REINFTL **44-50
Night Dragon 100/90 - 19 M/C 57H TL ************38-42
