As long as you don't mix radial and bias ply you'll be fine. I run the pressure on the side of the tire. 95% two up riding. I might ad 2 lbs to the back if i'm packed heavy.
I run mixed brand and radial and cross ply several times over now.. No issues....will keep doing it....you should try a Dunlop Elite III. Bias ply MU85B16, you will love it
Harley actually had a model they put out with a bias ply on rear and a radial on front...the way the cross ply us in the bias ply technology nowadays it makes the almost act the same... It's a street glide nit a GSXR....That mixing nonsense for a Harley is mostly bullshit.
I've got a new Michelin Commander II on the rear and a Dunlop OE tire on front. I can't tell any problem. Both are bias ply.
I had the same set up for a couple of weeks and it ran OK. Once I matched the front with the MC II's in the back it handled like a dream. Not saying running the Dunlop up front is bad, but it is much better when they match. I had a hard time switching it out with tread left on the front but I'm glad I did.
I'm going to wait til the tread on the front wears out. No since wasting good tread. Some times I have on mismatched socks inside my boots and I still walk pretty straight.
