Default Beware of Items bought on ebay from DEMONSCYCLE !

Just a quick warning so nobody else gets stuck with a useless set of forward controls like I did.

I was ASSURED by this vendor that these forward controls would bolt right up to an 07 fatboy! Let me assure you that they do NOT. Where the shift rod bolts up to the shifter it actually HITS on front cylinder. The arm does not reposition in relation to the foot shifter and the only way to make it miss it to put a shift rod a mile long which then makes the position of the toe shifter too low to use. So if you have ANY 07 softtail I would give these some serious scrutiny... if you have an 07 fatboy.. don't bother with these!!

Note that the ad definitely says that it will fit an 07 and I have an email from them "confirming" that it would fit on any 07 fatboy!

If you look at the gear side control, rather than the arm being almost flush with the bracket there is a (what looks like) spacer that moves the shift arm too close to the motor.

I would be interested to know if anybody else with an 07 got stuck with a set of these !! Problem with eBay is once you give them positive feedback you can't retract it and if you give them negative feedback, most of them will do similarly to you for your troubles. eBay has no problem with them doing that either !! The WORST for doing that is ebay seller "demonscycle" whom I had nothing but bad experiences with and he hammers EVERYBODY who leaves bad feedback (although he deserves it) and although they are in the right.

Demonscycle sent me two left hand mirrors. I had to pay out of my own pocket to send the wrong one back and 6 weeks later I got the correct side mirror but the glass was chipped on the edge from when it was pressed into the mirror and then I notice the left hand side was also so they are obviously seconds at AT LEAST new prices. BEWARE !!!

On the OTHER hand... if you are looking for ones that WILL fit and are premium quality, the accutronix ones are great and they seem to know their stuff !! You really do get what you pay for when it comes to Harley 3rd party accessories I have learnt real quick.

Lewis custom cycles though has been my BEST experience of people to deal with over the net and Ronnie is super polite, helpful and has great prices and fast shipping for Kuryakyn stuff.

Regards,
DeanO

Dean, I am in full agreement of your critisism of DEMONCYCLE, they totally suck. Please tell me more about the fwd controls from Accutronix, How easy or hard to fit, what adjustments to the bike did you have to make, price, where did you buy them from, blah, blah, blah.

hmm I told him about Accutronix and Loader told meh his bike is up for BOTM this month too

If I had my rims and bars on already..i could give him some competition hehe..

but anyways.. Accutronix is pretty straight forward.. we been working with them for perfectness on the 07 fatboy heh..
simple things.. is they are 1" extended more than stock deuce forward controls (at dealer)
a 3" extended forward control would hit the front fender on a stock 07 fatboy so Accutronix set up is pretty good
its a smooth shifting mechanism they have(well built)..
styles of pegs and such are your choice from their collections
set up will run you around 900.00 or so

I have em on meh bike, so does Loader's BOTM(well not yet) hehe

No offense but are you sure there's no operator error going on? He's got almost 4K sells and has a 99.8% feedback score. I have personally bought off them several times and have never had an issue.

I ask about putting them on incorrectly only because I had a friend that tried and tried to install a set and could not for the life of him make them fit.

It wasn't until he took them to someone else that he realized the adjustment was at the other end of the linkage.

Like I said, no offense meant, just mentioning it. I guess at this point it's too late since you've already got the other brand but at least if you knew for sure, you could sell them to someone else if they really did work.

I have to admit that I have been inordinately lucky with eBay. Even when I've had a problem, I've been able to work it out with the vendors. I get nervous if their rating is much lower than 98%. I read through their negative feedback comments. If I see too many negative comments of the same variety, I tend to avoid. Have you tried contacting the vendor directly? If so, and you've gotten no results, you can file a complaint with eBay. (Not sure how much results you'd get there, as I've never had it go this far...) I agree with the whole "negative feedback" thing though. It is total crap that the vendors are even ALLOWED to wait until after the buyer has given theirs, to file their feedback. My job, as a customer, is straightforward; Pay For What I've Bid On! I pay = Positive Feedback. My comments on THEIR performance/product should not in any way affect MY rating as a customer. I admit to having restrained myself in the feedback department, for this very reason. Good luck on trying to sort this out.

He may have a 99.8% positive feedback score but I am 99.8% you should avoid someone like him at all costs.

Don't take my word for it... I can prove.

Ok, just go onto ebay, find him then view his feedback. Scroll down and ready ANY of the bad feedback. It will say who left the bad feedback. Then click on THEIR feedback and watch what this flogger say about them!!! The only reason I didn't leave bad feedback was because I like my 100% rating and would have lost it if I left accurate feedback.

He even boasts in most of the ads that he will leave THE EXACT SAME FEEDBACK YOU LEAVE FOR HIM. This should be ILLEGAL and is most definitely IMMORAL. I *STRONGLY* recommend not doing business with anybody like that.

Further, if you can, email a couple of the people he has left bad feedback about and ask them yourself! You are lucky because you have YET to have a problem with him. There is one guy there who bought two things at once from him. In the first feedback from demoncycle he says the guy is great and wonderful etc etc... then in the next line on another item it calls the guy every name under the sun and warns people not to deal with him.

If he was in this country I would have taken legal action. He doesn't deserve the amount of business he gets... but it is fairly typical of the state of the world.

Also, his feedback is only 99.1% which, by eBay standards, is really very bad. Also take into consideration how many people ONLY left positive feedback so they didn't get bad feedback themselves... in actual fact if eBay did not condone this sort of behaviour it would probably be under 90% !

http://myworld.ebay.com.au/demonscycle/

Here is the first negative feedback comment I just found when searching on his account.

---- quote from demoncycle ----

TRIED TO GET FREE PARTS.THREATENS NEGATIVE.A WASTE OF TIME FOR THIS LOSER.BEWARE

---- end quote ----

Also PAGE AFTER PAGE of RETRACTED negative feedback that people have removed just to get theirs removed. Just found THREE IN A ROW on only the 8th page of this flogger's most recent feedback !

If he sends you something broken next time you order you will find out for yourself I guess or have to just cop it like I did. He made ME pay $45 AUS to return at item that he sent me incorrectly (2 left hand mirrors). No apologies either and not quick to reply. I am warning everybody more because of what I have seen him do to others. You really should check out his feedback, it is CLASSIC !

Just gem after gem.... here's another he wrote about some poor bloke who he sent crap and asked for his money back.

---- quote ----
LIED. SENT BACK DAMAGED ITEMS AND ASKED FOR FULL REFUND. AVOID THIS BAD EBAYER.
----end quote ----

another of MANY that was RETRACTED because the buyer wanted his bad feedback removed (blackmail by seller)

---- quote ---
MAKES UP CRAZY STORIES IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET A FREE ITEM. AVOID THIS BAD EBAYER.
--- and another ----
LEAVES NEG. TO EXTORT FREE ITEMS. COMPLAINS ABOUT EVERYTHING. BOTHERSOME. AVOID
---- end quote ----

Customers trying to work out problems are BOTHERSOME. I think that tells you all you need to know about this muppet!

All the BUYERS have EXCELLENT rating except from this *****. Obviously not a mental giant because most of these people he has forever alienated will never buy from him again and crusade to warn everybody about their unfair and immoral treatment.

Check out THIS buyers followup comments : http://myworld.ebay.com.au/crowson8987

Anyway I could show hundreds of examples... the proof is in the pudding and it angers me that someone like this is doing well as a merchant.

No I pulled both ends off and there is a keyway that only fits in ONE position Not too fussed I should be able to sell them to an 99 - 06 owner locally and not lose any money. Am more P.O'd about that Demoncycle ****!
