Hi,

I found this 2 pictures on the internet and I can't find anywhere an information which Harley Davidson, Harrison Ford and Shia LeBeouf are riding in the new Indiana Jones 4 movie..

I would love to write a small entry for my blog.

Not a classic. It looks like a Twin Cam Softail Springer with a Sportster tank, Sportster rear fender, HD accessory catalog tank badge, tombstone tailight, heat taped exhaust, an old school seat and some bags ratted and grimed up to look like a psuedo vintage relic.

oohh.. so it's actually not a classic one.. That's interesting..  Well, I guess they use all kinds of tricks in the movie business to make current cars/bikes look old..

Thanks for the fast answer.

Especially when the kicker appears to be bolted to the frame!

Cheers!

Is that the woeds "six speed" on the tranny?

Still love the looks of it.
Like to get my hands on a set of old looking saddle bags like those.

Using a new bike made to look old is nothing new. I mean, would you trust your priceless classic to an ACTOR? I hate to see machinery get wrecked for entertainment, but a new bike in production is better than trashing a 50-60-70 year old machine. I winced when I watched them crash that Norton in The Motorcycle Diary's.
I remember what Harrison Ford did to that black 55 Chevy in American Grafiti.

In Worlds Fastest Indian, the bike they filmed out on the salt flats was actually an older Cagiva with Bert Munro body work.

1955-1956 Tank Badge
Almost a behive tail light from 1936-1946 similar anyways
Fuel tank looks like its off of a sporty or similar to a 1975 superglide
1931-1957 Springer Horn
1936-1957 Handlebar "cross bar" or "Hollywood Bars"
Almost looks like a flathead WR buddy seat

Not a single doubt in my mind it's a twinkie springer.  that kicker attached to the swingarm or the frame is pretty funny, I mean c'mon.  that bike looks retarded to me.

remember they can do anything in movies. the kicker will work in the movie too. but in real life not a chance.but i got to agree it is a soft tail.06 or 07.

Id say a 2007 Springer Classic with a chopped rear fender, thinned out front fender, aluminum disk bolted on to cover the rear disk and a sporty custom tank.

Not sure why they went with a new rider when they could have had a kick-ass vintage for the movie that looks way better

I'm no expert, but that looks like a Springer "modified" to look like a classic. The switch housing on the handlebars look pretty modern, and I'm guessing the "kick start" is an add on.

It's the new '08 Crossbones model. They have it slightly modified with a longer front frnder and some other stuff to make it look like an early stock model.

Umm...........what's up with the water bottles near the front wheel and the wet spot under the bike??

It's deffinently a choped springer classic with a sporty tank, and yeah I love the kicker pedal!!

Certainly looks like a classic.  There's a puddle under it.

First thing that caught my attention were the standard switch housings on the handlebars...  proves its a brand spanking new bike!  The movie was good!

Yeah, the switch housings were what caught my eye too. I just watched the movie tonight, and enjoyed every second of the motorcycle scene, and tried not to cringe when he laid it down.

Good stuff, I don't care if it's vintage or not, I agree that it's probably better that they didn't treat a real classic the way they did the imposter in the film.

Now for my question...............what kinda pipes are those?

\\;5 Softail Springer \\;Classics were modified by and supplied by HD corporate for the movie. Two are supposed to be at the 105th party. \\;You can spot the twin cam B motor in a couple shots with machined jugs and \\;bright rocker boxes. Also visible is the stock rear belt pulley, front disk \\;and front brake reservoir. \\;They should have used the raw jugs from the crossbones and dulled the finish on the rocker boxes and cam cover. The fake kicker would bang the pipes even if it would move.
