Default Cuise Control

Afternoon...

A buddy of mine recently bought an '06 Heritage FLST and was wondering if it was possible to add the HD cruise control system to it. If so can anyone provide the part numbers(s) or is it the same system that can be purchased for the touring models.

Thanks for your help.

No Cruise for softails...[:@]

Kuryakan has come out with an electromagnetic one http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=harley&ci=3578

Or you can go with the expensive route and use the Road King cruise control but you'll need this --> http://www.cruisemount.com/

A few folks were looking to get the Kuryakan....Maybe someone has one and can give a review?

Ill be adding oem cruise to my 06 night train in the coming winter.
Check out below links for 2 kits that let you add factory oem cruise to your soft tail.

http://customizedcycles.com

...the customizedcycles looks like much cleaner application and is the one ill be going with.

Repo-

How did the customizedcycle module work out for you? I've been looking at that for awhile now.

Thanks.

I like the standard thumb wheel on my Heritage Classic as much as the HD cruise control on my Ultra.

Maybe I'm just wierd.

I've actually got the 'poor man's version'on the way. I've just read some good things about the customizedcycle module and was curious. Guess I should have put that I was 'wondering about it' instead of 'looking at it'.

And Duece Bigelow, that's a kick-a$$ sled you've got there.

I installed the one from www.cruisemount.com on my 2007 Heritage. I liked the idea that it uses genuine Harley parts (the actual cruise control) so that if I am on the road somewhere that any Harley dealer can work on it and get parts. The installation was lengthy, but very detailed instructions with a lot of pictures. Turned out to be a no-brainer installation, and actually looks good. Works great... a real cruise control that maintains speed, not just throttle position.
