Default Dents and dry ice

I have heard that dry ice applied to a dent followed by placing the bike in the sun may remove a dent. Supposed to keep dry ice on the dent til it freezes the dent and one inch perimeter around the dent. Does anyone know if this works and does it damage the paint?

I believe that is an old panel beaters trick - apparently works with limited success, but depends on the dent of course.

You can get the same effect with canned air. Make sure it is the CO-2 type and if you flip it upside down the liquid that comes out is freezing. More controllable for the area you want to affect.
