BUILDUP A 2008 Road King Classic Project

Sometimes you get a ride and end up hating it. It’s happened to all of us. Well, most of us anyway. Sometimes it’s a problem that can be fixed, and other times one ends up trying to sell the contraption as quickly as possible.

We can call these purchases mistakes and learn from them, or we can make do with what we’re stuck with. HDForums member TF3N had something along these lines happen to him when he purchased his 2008 Road King Classic, though he has found a way to mend the problem.

Thankfully, the problem that TF3N had with his new Road King was not a problem with the bike itself, but rather with the look of the ride. He said he felt like he was riding a “wannabe cop bike.” So instead of scrapping the bike, he has started working with it and building into something he likes. So far, he has removed the light bar, removed the front fender, and has sent an array of parts to be powder-coated.

It won’t be until next spring that this ride is completely finished, but the build is certainly productive and moving forward steadily! Go stop by TF3N’s build thread and show your support!
