H-D Forums member’s very cool photo showing exactly what’s preventing him from mounting the hog and hitting the open road sparks equally awesome responses.

Cool Content Find of the Day: What’s Your Reason for No Rides Today? Here’s Mine…

H-D Forums Member Thread-starter: kel03

Cheat-sheet about the Thread: We’ve all been there: You just wanna jump on the hog and take off on a spontaneous afternoon adventure to wherever the road may take you, whether it’s for a quick shot at your favorite pub the next town over or hitting the chili cook-off at your local Harley-Davidson dealer. But there are those times that no matter how hard you wanna let it rip there’s some unforeseen obstacle that prevents you from kickstarting that road adventure. For H-D Forums member kel03 that obstacle was a cold, wintry storm that rolled through town before he was able to roll outta town. He posted a photo too, and there’s no arguing with him, that’s some beautiful-looking but definitely nasty bike-riding weather.

“Damn snow! Will be here awhile for sure,” notes kel03. above the photo. “Looking forward to spring,” he adds before inviting fellow forum members to share their own experiences with facing obstacles when it comes to planning road adventures on your Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Quite a few fellow riders empathized with kel03’s winter weather woes, sharing stories about their own battles with local wintertime weather conditions. H-D Forums member krielly66 summed up the whole winter-riding challenge with one solid sentence: “Live in Vermont….enuff said…After snow season, we’ve still gotta get through mud season…sigh…” he writes.

And when fellow Harley-Davidson enthusiast mcgee10 tried substituting a snowmobile for his Harley during the winter months, even that proved to be challenging. “The weather here is just not right for a bike ride yet, and it’s too cold,” he wrote above a photo of a snowmobile stuck atop a huge snowdrift.

For Road captain forum member tjcaron, it was a triple-whammy that is keeping his hog in the troth at least for a few more weeks. “60 degrees out, wife is sick, bike looks like this…” writers tjcaron above a pic of his badass bike on the block and in the middle of a tune-up.

Ultimate HDF Member Greezey Rider is facing the same obstacle as tjcaron and shared a cool shot showing his Harley in the process of getting serviced.

Canadian Senior Rider forum member FUJILICIOUS didn’t even need to say a word to explain why he’s not riding today, posting a photo of a huge five-foot snow drift just outside his garage.

And fellow Canadian Salmo pass didn’t post a word nor did he even need to include a photo, because when you’re from the City of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada, you can simply denote the current local temperature to explain why you;re not even thinking about riding your hog today…

And since H-D Forums‘ headquarters is located in Southern California, we did get a kick out of TriGeezer‘s shared meme.

And that was not tk’s only crazy contribution. This Photoshopped gem below also made us chuckle…
