Seven-Year-Old Joins Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson Dragon Chapter

Motorcycle enthusiast Madi Nask became the newest member of the Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson Dragon Chapter this week. And at only seven years of age, she’s also the youngest. But that doesn’t mean that Nask is by any means unfamiliar or inexperienced with Harley-Davidson motorcycles. In fact, she’s been riding on the back of them since the age of three. Nask and her adorable story saw air time on a recent WFMY News 2 segment.

Madi has also been involved with the chapter for a while now, becoming a fixture around its Maryville shop. She’s even helped her father, Eric Nask, at Saturday night concerts by waving flags in the parking lot to organize motorcycles. The two have even ridden together all over the southeast. But what, exactly, causes a seven-year-old to take such an interest in motorcycles?

The chapter’s newest member said that she wants to ride motorcycles ‘until I get so old I can’t ride them anymore.’

“It made me have a lot of fun since it goes fast, and I really like it,” Madi explains. Sounds good to us.

The kid’s passion for Harleys clearly runs deep, her father revealed to WFMY with a funny story. “One day, I told her we were going to get some milk,” he says. “She went into her room and got all her leather on. I told her it was raining out and she cried because she wanted to take the bike. So we wound up, of course, getting on the bike in the rain to go get milk.”

Fittingly enough, the oldest member of the group, 84-year-old Johnny Stooksbury, inducted Madi into the chapter. Afterward, she said that she wants to ride motorcycles “until I get so old I can’t ride them anymore.” Her enthusiasm for Harley-Davidson is impossible to ignore, and you can’t help but notice her father’s beaming enthusiasm. For a Harley loving dad, it doesn’t get any better than spending quality time with the two best things in your life.
