Harley Rockets to Yet Another Win at the Denver Drags
The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines racing team participated at this weekend’s Denver Drags, and yup, you guessed it, they won again!
Official term rider and partner, Andrew Hines overwhelmed the Pro Stock Motorcycle field with a record-setting performance at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals, onboard his Harley-Davidson V-Rod drag racing bike. Meanwhile, his very own teammate, Ed Krawiec, fell victim to Hines at the dragster final. Now that must’ve been a little awkward…
It was a rather unstoppable weekend for Andrew Hines, as he not only led the entire qualifying session, but he re-set the track record a record-breaking three times, and then went on to win the dragster finals in Denver. Talk about a complete hat-trick!
“I grew up around this sport, but never dreamed that one day I’d set a record like this,” said Hines, who is a five-time Pro Stock Motorcycle champion on Harley-Davidson V-Rod motorcycles. “The record will likely stand for a long time, and represents a lot of hard work by the Screamin’ Eagle team over the years. Dave Schultz was one of the founders of this class and raced with passion and drive, and we lost him when he was still winning races. He would have undoubtedly added to his total. I’m really honored to be in this spot today.”
Currently in the championship, Hines and Krawiec sit with three victories each, and that awards the Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines V-Rod motorcycles a total of six out of seven wins in the Pro Stock Motorcycle finals in the 2016 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.
Keep up the amazing work!
