Hilarious Harley Viral Dealership Photo Shows Smiling Husband, Scowling Wife

Hell hath no fury like a woman whose husband just dropped nine grand on a new bike.

It’s often said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and this one most certainly is. It was posted to Facebook by Toledo Harley-Davidson, a dealership in Toledo, Ohio earlier this week.

This bright orange 2020 Iron 883 was recently purchased by a man only identified as Brian. Like most Harley-Dealerships, he got to ring a bell and pose for a photo after signing on the dotted line. Toledo Harley-Davidson shared the photo, and unintentionally turned the proud owner’s wife into the newest internet sensation.

Brian and his son look overjoyed in the photo. His wife? Not so much. That exasperated frown has launched hundreds of comments on the original post and over 1,200 shares. Even non-Harley people are getting in on the fun — it’s the scowl seen ‘round the world.

Happy Wife, Happy Life

The original post assures us that “This picture might not show it…but his family is really excited.” If the majority of the family is excited, that means it’s technically true, right?

It’s certainly an uncertain time for a lot of us financially, so that might contribute to the wife’s concern. However, the Iron 883 is one of the least expensive new Harley-Davidsons you can buy, starting at about nine grand.

Given the current state of the motorcycle industry as a whole, we wouldn’t be surprised if Brian and his wife were able to negotiate a better deal on his first Harley-Davidson. We know of a few folks who have gotten great deals on their new bikes just so the dealer can move units.

With a young son in the home, she might be worried about safety, too, so we hope that Brian has signed up for a new rider course. It will certainly help him to give his family peace of mind — and make him a better rider, too.

Of course, the best solution is to ditch the solo seat for a two-up model. One ride on the back of the Harley, and we’re sure that Brian’s wife will be all smiles.
