Water Dispensing 7-Eleven Makes Good

Last week, we brought you the story of HDForums member Buzzfin who filled up his 2014 Harley at a local 7-Eleven on his way home. The only problem was that instead of dispensing fuel the pump dispensed water, because the storage tanks were very low. Anyhow, after contacting 7-Eleven’s corporate HQ a local rep got back in touch, admitted fault and said that their insurance company would take care of everything.

The scooter was picked up and according to Buzzfin, “they did a complete flush of the fuel system, new filter and regulator assembly, replaced the kinked fuel hose, checked over the motor, and 1k service. No motor damage and she’s running perfectly again.” Additionally, 7-Eleven did pay for all damages and cost of fuel and other items purchased when Buzzfin originally stopped at the station. All’s well and all of that, it’s just unfortunate that he had to go through such a headache for such a mundane reason. More than unfortunate is that the guy working at the station was so afraid of doing something wrong (and potentially losing his job) that he chose to do nothing.

Anyway, we hope that you’re back on the bike and having a blast!
