Good write up, this is fairly new to me my question would be is there an accessory switch you install on the bike to open the door? or how to you transmit to the garage door opener from the bike?

And if you do install a switch or button on the bike any chance of pictures?

Thanks.

About as easy as it gets. Just push the headlight switch flash to pass briefly. Nothing else needs to be stored with you. Only works when bike is turned on.

Also,
As stated above. Enough people posting in multiple threads about using mini garage door openers. Keep it in those threads. This one here is to help people on the HD install for 2014 Touring.

That's true as well. Although, that might be for the Electra Glide model only. But maybe the power is there regardless of bike?

I pulled power for my Dakota Digital gauge from the same spot as the powered antenna connector under the batwing (top passenger side). Theres a few spots to grab power from instead of the side cover.

Yep,flash to pass. Works great, easy install. Just hit high beams twice and up (or down) she goes.

Seeing a lot of options here.... nothing as simple as hitting the high beam button. Open a saddlebag? Get out your phone? Reach in your pocket?

No thanks. The OP has it right.

Default Blue/White Dual LED Headlight wire

Thanks for the write up on the Garage Door Opener. I think this accessory is really a great idea that is well worth the money at $139.00. I just purchased a new 2015 SGS CVO with the dual LED headlight and am 95% complete with the install, however I am now at a crossroad. The instructions, page 16, connecting the white wire from the transmitter to the "blue/white" wire going to the headlight states to cut the blue/white wire and connect the white transmitter wire in a "one into one" splice configuration... I would have thought that it would have been two into one?? Anyway if it is one to one, are you connecting the white transmitter wire to the blue/white wire LEADING BACK TO THE BATTERY, (OR), are you connecting the white transmitter wire to the blue/white wire LEADING TO THE HEADLIGHT? The directions do not state which way to connect the white transmitter wire and a call to HD wasn't any help. They understood my problem but did not know the answer. I certainly agree with you that this is a extremely "universal" kit and could have been tailered more as a plug and play to our bikes. Thanks in advance, really want to get my bike back together.
