Looks like a really nice head pipe. do I understand this correctly its NOT a 2-1-2 header?.

Safety man when tuning with the Power Vision did you have to manually watch or adjust manually any of VEs? I have had issues before with autotune and this type of pipe but it was not a rush pipe.

The 7017HO is a dual pipe, with a crossover, which is different from a 2-1-2 or X pipe style/

The 7017 is a true dual, 1 independent pipe from each cylinder, with no crossover whatsoever.

As far as Auto tuning, I am no expert... by any stretch. I set it to do the runs, do the runs, tell it to build the new map, and load.

There are guys here WAY smarter than I when it comes to messing with the VE tables and such. I sent a digital copy of my last tune to a guy I trust, who made some adjustments and smoothing, sent it back, and I loaded it.

I've never put mine on a dyno to see what she's got... but I might out of curiosity.

Received my Rush 7017HO head pipe today, I couldn't believe it. I ordered it yesterday late morning/early afternoon and the UPS man was ringing the door bell at 1:45 this afternoon. This was my first order from Cycleplicity and I must say wow. Great price and SUPER quick shipping (was just their standard free shipping). I un-packed the head pipe and I must say WoW again! The Rush pipe and heat shields look awesome. They supply everything you need except the exhaust gaskets. I was surprised they furnished all 3 exhaust clamps. Will try to get this system installed this weekend, will let you know what I think.

Got my Rush pipes installed yesterday, and they went on pretty smoothly. Bought the James Gaskets kit with new cir-clips and nuts (had one bad nut not threaded properly), and used a Jims 788 gasket install tool. The Jims 788 is the trick for installing those gaskets, they went in perfectly.

The Rush head pipe fit up very nice, the fitment of the hangers/brackets was spot on. I really like the full size cross under pipe. My only complaint is their heat shields are a little long. Probably not a problem with aftermarket slip-ons, but I'm using CVO take-offs mufflers with the heat shields on them. I had too mount the mufflers pretty far back on the rear hangers and adjust the heat shields on the mufflers a bit. The Rush heat shields are very good quality, and the coverage is excellent.

I had the same problem with them being too long for the CVO mufflers. I took the heat shield off of the right hand muffler.

I know this is not the question posed here but I mention it because a good many people seem to have problems putting in their Harley exhaust gaskets. I have found the easiest way for me to get them in is to smear some grease into the exhaust ports with my finger and then smear the exhaust gaskets themselves with a light coat of grease as well. Put the gasket into the port and gently square them up with your fingers. Then I take a large socket (probably a 36mm) which is the same diameter as the gasket itself and very gently tap the socket until the gasket is pushed all the way in using a small ball peen hammer. The grease helps a bunch and I never wrinkle or bend those woven gaskets.

WD-40. Not excessive. I spray on paper towels wipe gasket push in with fingers.

Just tried to install the Rush 7017 on a 14 Street Glide. NO GOOD.

The front pipe will hit the rear brake actuator and was unable to adjust out. The front pipe design is TERRIBLE. It's basically supported by one bracket (the crossover bracket) and you can move the entire front system around. Not stable at all.
Terrible design as far as I'm concerned.

Sure wish it was a better design as I really hoping for a nice true
Dual system.
