Default When do you think your bike is wore out?

Just curious what others think about when there bike is wore out. I have my opinion especially since I have been riding for about 40 years. But wondering what others think.
I have heard people buying a new bike because they say there old one was wore out. How many miles is wore out?

Harleys never wear out. You just have to replace parts every now and again.

Once they have a new model I like better than my current one! At least that's what I tell myself.

I think that is a very subjective thing. I had a 2004 Yamaha RoadStar, at the time I sold her she had 50K miles on her, that I would still have if my wife and I didn't start touring. Sure, there are signs that tell you when it's time, but what if you just want another bike? Keep up maintenance and who knows how long they will last. A friend has a 2000 Dyna with over 100K miles. Beautiful bike. Just got totaled in an accident. He never even considered trading or selling his Dyna. So it's really a personal thing, I believe.

I don't think I have ever felt any of my bike have been "worn out" but I tend to sell them and upgrade when I have 20K-30K miles and I find one I like better. I only do it because it is almost impossible to sell a bike in the Chicago area with more miles than that...Sad that people here think that's high miles but I sell em when I can still get some decent $ out of them.

They're wore out when you have to replace the whole engine.

I like to get new things, especially vehicles. I guess i get bored easy. Whenever something catches my eye it's time to trade up..
For all of the people like me that want new or newer things every few years there some new bank that is leasing Harley's. From what i have heard its a pretty good deal. They started somewhere on the east coast and is slowly gaining steam here in Ohio. I might look into it when i upgrade in a couple years.

Wasn't aware of the leasing. Do you have any other info you can share?
