The Harley motorcycle is a very expensive toy, yet it is the most under powered bike out there, even Harley is embarrased to mention HP ratings, Harleys will never be race bikes unless you put tons of money in motor upgrades, with that being said the question is:
What makes guys do it?
Why some people throw 5k on a Harley to bearly get 100hp when you can buy a different brand with way over 100hp?, Triumph Rocket3 comes to mind, 140hp and 150lbs of torque, Yamaha Vmax? and a few others?
Am i the only one with 100% stock Harley and with full intention to leave it like that?
when i wanna enjoy the ride i ride my Harley, when i wanna go fast i ride the Rocket, when i feel girly i ride the wife's Can Am Spyder

Its really only "Hive Thinkers" projecting onto others, who accuse HD buyers of Hive Think. Its not about going "our way", its about going "our own way". A Hiver will be blind to the difference, but its big.
Wrong, i understand perfectly, i drag race a Blackbird (if you know what that is which you probably don't without googling it) so i know about mods, i also own an 07 heritage, a '15 Ultra Limited, the Rocket ans a Busa, I spend my money on bikes and know where to put my mods, ha!

Interesting question - but my bet is - you are the only one with a 100% stock Harley.
I purchased a 2014 Ultra Limited - added things like speaker grills, saddlebag guards, backrest, saddlebag lights, chrome covers for the passengers foot boards and some other things. I did not touch the engine.
The bike has enough power for me - but to respond to your question - the bike is no longer completely stock. Is your's?

Folks who pour money into these 900+ lb. behemoths thinking they're gonna make 'em lightening-fast "racing bikes" are livin' in Fantasy Land. These are the people that the MOCO woos and worships the most!

I 100% agree with every word you said. Yes, I'm another "keeping it stock" guy and I love mine just the way it is. It's not a crotch rocket and never could be made into one. That's not what I wanted and not what I got.
