Boom II Audio - blowing speakers
#21
I've been trying to talk my wife into upgrading her RGS audio. First thing the service advisor said was "We have 1 guy I will let do audio". That was when we were just tossing around the idea even.
I've also heard countless tales of DIY speaker installs with dealer flash that end with blown speakers. I watched a how to video for the Boom 2 and it said don't even turn on the infotainment system before the flash.

Many dog on the Boom! Stage II. But I'm very satisfied with mine, and it's all covered under the extended warranty. Even if it DID cost more than buying aftermarket and installing it myself.

Don't get me wrong I like the BOOM II, but if I'm paying as much as it cost! - I expect it if not to be the best - at least to work.

For sure Boom II is speedy and there are likely other setups out there that sound as good (or arguably better) for less. In my case I went Boom II and I'm glad I did. It's covered under my ESP for up to 7 years and it sounds great to my older ears. I figure a bike is about as shitty a place as one could dream of for a high fidelity setup but Boom II sounds surprisingly good at volume and speed. It's been rock solid as well. If you've had yours for some time and it's suddenly **** the bed is that time to hate on it? I dunno, nothing lasts forever (which is why my 7 years of coverage is so sweet).

Get someone who knows something about audio equipment to help you. It's pretty evident that you have mismatched equipment.
