I strongly suspect the only people who know are the employees who developed the update. I say this because it's not an official release (so HD doesn't list the fixes and/or new features). It may also still be in the testing stage. At the very least, it should address the problems many people were having with 1.20.2.

Did you reset your system? Folks over at Biketronics told me to reset my system to pick-up all facets of an update. I did that for the first time after installing 1.20.1 and it really made a difference in the quality of the sound, bass in particular. Not like my home system, but not bad for two fairing spkrs. Maybe they have fixed that in 1.20.3 and now there is no need to reset the system?

I installed and tried out 1.20.3. About 15 minutes into the ride, the screen locked up on xm radio. Only thing that worked was the volume. I even tried turning the system off and it wouldn't turn off. The screen showed the xm channel playing along with the audio. Pretty strange. After about another 5 minutes, it started operating normally. Think I'll go back to 1.20.1.

Installed 1.20.3 yesterday. I went through all of the menus and tried to exercise all of the options. Everything seems to work just fine (Whew!). I do not have the XM Radio so if there is an issue with that I'd not be aware of it. Only two things I noticed: First, my USB Flash Drive with my music seems to load much faster when the USB Drive is first recognized. ~1,800 songs took about 15 seconds instead of a minute or more in the past. This really isn't a big deal since it only happens if/when you remove the drive and then cycle the ignition before reinstalling it. Second, with all the recent past updates (1.18.XX and newer) my Boom Box has always reset the Seek/Scan function so that when listening to music on my USB Drive; the left Joy Stick wouldn't advance to the next song when triggered. I'd have to go into the menus to reset it. This time it stayed as it was and wasn't reset. What I haven't checked is if they restored the CB Sidetone function. I hope they have, but . . . . we'll see . . . Other than the missing Sidetone function I've been really happy with Version 1.20.1

When HD released 1.20.2, it added functionality for Siri compatibility on the phones. They pulled that release off the shelf after problems were reported with other system functions. I suspect they are hoping 1.20.3 is a successful release that will include the support for Siri.
Maybe I'll load it and see if it works with "OK, Google" too....?

Has anyone read the posted Tech Article: 1.20.2 Boom! Infotainment Software Concern, TA0014_en_US, on the H-D Service information Portal? The link is there for the article but when I select it, it tells me that I don't have a valid subscription to view the content. (I guess I'm not a dealer!?!)
