Default Stubby Footpegs

So I'm out for a nice little ride today and notice this. When my highway pegs are deployed, and I'm resting my heel on the running board (which is very comfortable to me) I notice that I really don't use up much of the available real estate on my folding pegs.
Being OCD all I can think of is these "things stick out way too far". I can't roll them in any farther as the angle gets all messed up.
I'd like to find short stubby pegs that will mate up to my HD short angled adjustable mounts. Any suggestions or pictures of what you may be using?
I'm guessing I'm probaley nuts even thinking about this, but maybe there is a solution to my insanity.

Thanks

I've got the same set up. You may trying moving the mount up and swinging it in, then adjusting your peg. It looks like if you get too close to your brake pedal, you may have a safety issue in an emergency...

Yes currently I have the peg sitting about 3/4" lower then the brake pedal....seems pretty natural for me to lift slightly and pivot on the brake pedal. When mashing the brake pedal the peg does not interfere with the brakes motion. I tried it before above the pedal but if felt unnatural to me, also seemed harder to rest my heel on the foot board?
I believe that my 30" inseam is part of the problem.
BTW I do have a "Soft Brake" lowered pedal as well.
Thanks for your suggestion.
