Default Passenger seat width for a Tour Pak?

I have a 2014 FLHX that I'm looking to add a tour pak. The wife decided to start riding with me (which is awesome!), so I need to upgrade the stock seat first. As seats are so subjective I'm going to start with a Sundowner. Lower cost and I can sell without loosing my shirt if we do not like.

Demo'd one yesterday and it was great for her - ok for me. I have yet to establish my preference, but think I would like narrower through the thigh area while standing with the bike, and driver position same as stock. Mustang and Ultimate are under consideration.

I noticed that the 52093-08A is for without the tour pak. 16" driver, 14" passenger. This is what I demo'd.

The 52000128 is apparently for tour paks. 14.5" driver, 13" passenger.

Does it hold true that the 52093-08A will not fit a tour pak? Should I go with the 14.5? Something else I might be missing about fitting to the tour pak?

I personally would not believe what they say about a seat not fitting with a tour pak installed. I just installed a Hammock for 2009-2013 models. The description said it would work on 14 and up models w/out the tour pak. It has more clearance around the tour pak than my stock seat.
BTW - the tour pak does adjust forward and back about 1".

The tourpak will only affect the overall length of the seat, I can't see how it is affected by seat width. If your wife wants more space fore and aft, there are brackets to move the tourpak back for her. If she likes the wider seat, I'm sure a tourpak can be sorted out with little extra effort, if any.

The length of the seat isn't affected at all by the tour pak. The difference between earlier years and the Rushmore is the width of the passenger pad. Earlier models were about 14 inches and the Rushmores are about 16 inches. You can put an earlier seat on a Rushmore but it will not completely fill up the space in the backrest area. I have mounted and used a pre Rushmore seat on my 15 Ultra and no issue at all. This is all considering tour pak is in stock mounting position.
