If its a ground path then why does a known good bike have 12v on it?

Because if you connect a voltmeter to ground and a wire that is hot all the time, you will see system voltage.

Just because you don`t read voltage on the bad bike does not mean the BCM is bad.

It may be that the BCM is not getting power.

You must check to see if power is being supplied to the BCM.

Has this bike been running ok up until now?

Has any work been performed on the bike lately?

I get that but the known good bike is putting out 12v on that wire. The other side of the switch is ground.

On the bad bike we have 12v going into BCM on the single wire plug going into it, but nothing coming out. I'm gonna go with the BCM and see what happens. It's not like HD hasn't had any failures on them.

Checked voltage on battery 12.3V, and it's brand new just got it today.
Again, why buy a new battery?

For the last time...You haven`t determined if the power is even getting to the BCM.

In order for power to come out of the BCM, it must first GO INTO the BCM.

I don`t know why you posted here in the first place, you already made up your mind you were going to take a chance with someone else`s money...

12.3 volts is a mostly dead battery. Although I can't diagnose your entire electrical system from my computer, I can tell you that without a doubt you need to charge your battery. A full charged battery is 12.8 or so. 12.0 is 0%.
