Default Oil Pressure Gauge

I just picked up a 2014 Ultra Limited with the liquid cooked heads.

I was looking to add an oil pressure gauge kit on the rocker boxes since I feel like that’s an important function but a friend of mine told me there is a gauge built into the computer already.

I can’t find it in the infotainment center system. Am I missing something?

Should be able to access using the info button on the infotainment screen IIRC. Should be able to find an online Boom infotainment manual that would show it.

From the Boom owners manual:
Press the VEHICLE INFORMATION switch to vehicle status information on the radio screen. The vehicle information will display even if the radio is turned off. Press the
switch again to exit the vehicle information screen.

cheers

My 14 UL doesn’t show the oil pressure with the radio turned off.

Thanks I’ll check that out when I get back to the bike. Will it stay on the screen while playing music, etc or do you have to be in the specific screen to see the pressure?

If you’re talking about it showing when the screen is showing what song is playing, no, it will not.

Ok so there’s no way to use it as a type of full time gauge, just the ability to pull up the info briefly.

Personally, it’s not something I want to see all the time. I check it once or twice after the oil gets up to temperature and then I forget about it. YMMV

Finally got to the bike and found the oil pressure info. Embarrassingly easy

Now I’m winding how accurate it is and if I should concerned.

At hot idle it’s about 10 psi Going down the freeway at 85 in 6 the highest I saw is 33. Don’t think it ever went up from there no matter the rpm. Is that right?

Perfectly normal, and a great example of the adage "if you measure it, you will obsess over it"
