Tire Pressure

The FOBO's type TPMS system's temperature reading isn't real accurate at all, compared to the internal sensor types that also do temperatures (HD's do not do temperature). When I used FOBO's, with the sensor being out on the end of the valve stem spinning around in the ambient air, they would read about 100-110F after riding for a while, but the psi would increase 7-8psi or more. Before those I had a aftermarket system from Orange Electronics (China) with its own display unit, and it used internal sensors like HD's, only they also did air temperature. With those the increase in psi would correlate with the rise in air temperature (front would be 145-150f, rear 165-175f)... those sensors would only last a little over 2 years... but not 3 years though, because their refresh rate was about every one second (HD's is about every minute) and they did not go into "sleep mode". So I would replace them every other year when I would get new tires... but they were also only $35 each (HD's were $130 a set back then).

uhhh…because tire pressure increases as you ride. Don’t reduce hot tire air pressure. Tire pressures are speced cold.
