I haven't noticed the upper fairing buzzing on my Limited, but the first time I rode it in warm weather for about 70 miles and cut it off, I noticed a buzz. I finally noticed it was from the lower fairings, and it was the fan running inside the fairing to cool down the coolant.

i have a new 14 SG. Same buzzing, sounded like a card in the spokes of a bicycle is how I described it to the dealer. They heard it while riding it into the service bay. It is the vent and they fixed it no charge. Just wasn't opening all the way and the flap vibrated. Said it was the first one they heard doing it.

That would drive me crazy. This is my first bike with a faring and I haven't noticed any noise at all.

No noise from my vent but it looks like it is not solidly on the fairing. Seems to be a gap on the bottom of the vent

Mine did it at about 1800 rpms. Dealer replaced the vent with a new one. The new one has a rubber edge on it that seems to have stopped the buzz.

I have a buzz/rattle coming from the fairing, when I close the vent it goes away so I'll be heading back to dealer as soon as I can find the time. Seems there is a fix out there but it's up to us to complain for them to make it right.

Can you post a picture of the new one with the rubber edge ?

I also have the buzzing sound (14 SGS) called the dealer first they have heard of it (supposedly).
Also said SG is one of the best sellers they would have heard something about it.
I guess they think I'm delusional.
I'm also guessing that when I take it in for the 1K mile service they are going to say they were unable to duplicate the sound/problem.
