Took my new 2014 ultra in for 1000 mile service... Start off all clean and shiny, by the time I get there I've been through rain and sleet, yeah it's June in buffalo, Summer here is just 8 weeks of bad skiing. On my way home, 75 mph on expressway, I feel a clunk, hear a noise look in rear view and see saddle bag way back in the middle of the road, ripped off bag lights and after almost getting me and it run over, put it back on bike, what happened, I've never taken it off. Could the dealer have taken it off??? Very little. Damage, Just scuffed on lid on the back where you can't see it, unbelievabe

Called dealer this morning, they will stand behind it. Will order new bag and bag lights. They did take right bag off to reflash lights and tech must not have fastened properly. All's well that ends well. Every time I close my eyes I see that dammed bag sitting in the middle of the interstate. On to the next adventure

Not sure the dealer has to remove right side bag for 1k service? They do remove the left bag though.

 

How do you check the tire pressure? I have to take mine off to get the damn gauge in there.

 

Good excuse to buy the saddlebag guards.

Had mine in for the 1K service and was watching the Tech through the door, he had the R/S bag off and some cables attached to something in there. I had the passing lights flashed to work with the high beams so maybe he was doing that.

 

That really sucks. And try to prove it was due to the dealer, never happen. Go thing, sounds like no damage really

 

8 bucks at the hardware store and get rid of those worthless pins. After that they won't fall off again.
