Kinda funny, hell I had no idea you could shut it off, this last weekend took my 1st real trip with it and was using the gps and many times on the trip I would start it and it wouldn't boot normally and would just show a clock and a few minutes later it would come on and I wouldn't touch anything. I don't get to wound up on what it does or doesn't do... Mainly use it for listening music on iPod and works good for that...

Just give it some time, it will come up. I have had this happen a few times, I just hit the home button on the left hand side controller, and it comes up. It is a boot up issue.

The only time I have ever had any issues is when i had my thumb drive plugged into the USB port.

On two occasions the system would not turn on until I stopped riding, shut the bike off, and restarted it. One of those times I rode for about 30 minutes before stopping so it wasn't a question of just giving more time for it to boot up.

You see how HD rushed these things out now? I wish I had waited a few years until they got that ON/OFF button perfected!

And to the OP...

After a minute, hit the HOME button.... everything will work fine.
Don't know why it defaults to "off" from time to time, but it's not the end of the road...
