Tore down and ready for powder coat
#3
Will do. Was surprised at the amount of plastic on a 30,000 bike. I know I should not be but I was. I will post the after pics. Took about 4 hours to get it all tore down. Harley wanted over 3000 just for all the parts and that's not installed. I believe the powder coat will cost me about 400 and looks great. I tested it on the horn cover and it was beautiful.

Dave, I am going with vivid black to match the inner and the lowers. The dash is metal but need to remove insert. A little heat on the backside frees up the tape and then u can remove it. I wanted to wait but didn't want to be riding in snow. It should take about 2 weeks. You cant powder coat plastic. I will spray those parts. Thanks

Your welcome. The plastic pieces that will need to be primed and painted are
Covers under the tour pak on sides of the bracket
Rear lights both brake and fender light
Front fender light
Piece under headlight that covers top of forks
Not bad because all the other pieces can be coated. Make sure to take out lock and all rubber from all pieces. I also had to remove wires from driving lights and get them all apart. The 2 wires in the spot had to be cut and will have to be soldered back together. I have primed and painted all the plastic parts and they came out amazing.
