Just placed an order with Fuel Moto. WM8-22X cam kit incl lifters and FM AC/DC Air Cleaner. I read a lot of good things on the 22X can and Red Shift 468 cam and Fuelmoto confirmed they have installed in another M8 114 so will have a pretty good tune avail. They advised the stock exhaust with Rhineharts were fine, just should add the air cleaner. Will be good to have it installed and running before long.

I've had both 107 Heritage and now 114 Heritage and saw no difference in the 'smoothness'. Both engines felt similar Harley rumble but the 114 had a little more pep.

i thought the 107 was snappier or maybe i just didnt have the windsheild on the deluxe. they both felt great. i havent pulled the trigger yet. i ride an 04 Road King and i can tell you handling is like night and day with the Heritage. i am waiting for the right deal to come along and someone to buy the king with 75 k on it. maybe late Jan Feb the best deal will happen idk..

I've had a 107 Fat Bob, a 107 Softail Slim and my current 114 Heritage Classic. Between those three bikes, I have 40K+ miles on them.
I feel that the 107 is slightly smoother, and the 107 gets better fuel economy.
The 114, for my style of riding, has a noticable improvement in low-end torque. I'm in sixth gear any time I am at or above 55MPH. It pulls this gearing effortlessly.
If the $2K difference between the 107 and 114 was only the engine, it would be hard to justify a bit extra torque. But since the 114 package includes ABS brakes I think it is a great value.
