It's a piece of cake to do your self, I went we with carlini bars and risers16" gangster apes and their hight roller riser 1.25". Stay away from the step-down bars if you can it will make running the wires thru the bars much easier. I went with HD extension 15" for the controls and throttle. If you want to do braided cables you have to replace the entire clutch cable (they don't make the new two piece clutch braided). I will get the length i ordered when i get home, you can see in the picture i order the wrong length clutch cable but the dealer was good about it and let me do a swap. If you have ABS brakes do a reverse bleed.
Good luck
I had the dealer do the bars on my old bike and it was not worth it.

New wire wheels on the way (21" and 18"). Bassini duals as well as air suspension (bit of a bugger to fit as the compressor is where the crossover pipe is. Need to change the mirrors as they stick up too high. New seat and bars also fitted, as well as a custom made number plate bracket under the tail light. Really frustrated with the lack of parts - no headlight brow, but passing lights has them. Really want something for the centre console but don't like the HD part with the holes cut out. Thinking of using a touring bike billet insert modified, but need to get it with a slight curve to match the contour of the tank. Chrome lower forks to come but here in Australia, $650AUD for HD chrome lowers is a joke! Will get mine chromed for half that!!!
