Tight fit, especially the bottom pipe, on my 2020 Heritage. Was able to get it on with the wood/mallet method. The sound makes it completely worth the hassle of install.

the exhaust expansion tool is the way to go. It doesn't take much to expand it just a CH.

Try using something like copperslip, this should ease the pipe in without using any water based products.
