Anyone tried the new mustang seats for the 24’s or are they too new? I put the Sundowner on as part of the deal but it sucks *** and is nothing like the Sundowner seats of yesteryear. Seat is way too firm but maybe needs breaking in. Wife said her pillion is nothing like they used to be either. The Mustang setup looks like it might do the trick, but pricey with all three pieces.

 

Put the Mustang seat on last week. Raised me up and back around and an inch or so. I'm loving it. Had similar Mustang on my softail so ordering this felt like a no brainer. I'm loving it. Wife hated the stock pillion but hasn't had a chance to try the new one out yet. Once she does I'll post as to whether she likes it or not.

 

just ordered this setup for my 24 RG. Had similar on my 2018 RK and figured why mess with something I really liked. Hope it’s as good or better. Pricey af though.

 

The wife and I are loving the new Mustang seat. I’ve had a super touring seat on the last couple bikes and ordered one as soon as it was available for this bike. Have about 500 miles on it now and no complaints. Neither one of us liked the new sundowner.

 

That’s a good looking seat, and I’ve run Mustang seats on my last two Glides, with backrests, which are the best, IMHO.

I Put mine on yesterday but of course its raining today. Looks real good. Hope its comfy. I will say that the passenger seat moves and rattles a little where it connects behind the driver seat. Makes me a little unhappy.

 

I ran a Mustang Super Tour Solo on a ‘22 Road Glide Special and added the matching pillion. Loved the rider seat, but the way the pillion mates to the two nuts at the back of the front seat is just not optimal. And then it started squeaking. Had to take the pillion off and wipe a little lube in each “notch” that fits on the two nuts.

 

what model mustang seat is that. I’m trying to find it. I would like a seat that puts me back a couple inches. I found some mustang seats that claim they fit 2009-2024 however I don’t believe it since no 23 or earlier seat will fit a 24 model. They also have different stitching.

 

Found it on their website. Looks nice this is exactly what I was looking for. Haven’t come across another option that claims it brings you back, the others just raise you. Looks like it’s 790 dollars without the passenger pad though! I’ll probably still do it. Can anyone confirm that it does actually set you back giving you some extra room from the handlebars? Is it pretty significantly improved extended reach from the stock.
