My 07 RK is running grate. Had a little problem with starting after it was warm, but that was after I upgraded to a 110 and SERT. Once it was worked out, she ran like a dream. I'll have her for a many years to come.

Boy seems like a lot of problem free 07's 20k on mine with no complains. However, if you where on this forum after the 07's first came out there as a lot of chatter and knit picking. Well it sounds like it was all about nothing.

Yeah, there were a lot of "whiners" that didn't like the sound of 5th gear. Claimed it was bad and damaging and shouldn't make so much noise, etc.... Sorry, square cut gears are going to whine, you don't like noises go back to your Wing or BMW IMO

Spike. I value your knowledge and input on this forum. I started this thread and as luck would have it my IDS bearing went out a couple of days later...ghrr. Anyway did you add the IDS? Have you been reading the thread on here about the SE comp replacemet? What do you think?

No, I haven't added the IDS, and I don't think I will, for a while anyways, after reading the problems there have been so far with installing them on older bikes. Not sure why they are failing early, if it is an install problem or an actual manufacturing problem.

Don't have 07 but my 04 E-glide was taken from this spring. It went 74,000 mi with only one complant that it used oil, not burnt, a quart every 1000 mile after the 95" kit. If I still had it would keep till every thing wore out and start rebuilding it.
Have a 2000 RG with 104,000 and still runs good.

I was one of the early ones that installed the IDS and have had no problems. It was installed by myself, brg also. I really believe HD shouldve installed this brg bt maybe it was their way of washing their hands of anything that might come from it. I also believe the new SE comp is the real fix and the IDS was offered/added only to buy time, stop the long complaint threads, stop the calls, give the dealers a break, clean the mud that was applied to these new models.
